SCENE/AUTOPSY EXAMINATION
Only a trained forensic scientist can offer a service that includes scene interpretation, reconstruction and wound ballistics interpretation. This may involve assessment of the relative positions of shooter and injured parties, bullet trajectory reconstruction, the likelihood of ricochet, has a scene been interfered with, could a given gun hit a target at a given range and what would the effects be at this range. Wound ballistics interpretation, either through autopsy examination attendance or cold case review can assist in questions of range of fire, type of gun used, homicide or suicide and the position and orientation of the deceased when they were shot. FFC can provide expert assistance together with facilitating laser scanned digitised reconstruction models.
