Quality and Accreditation

Formal Standard Operating Procedures are essential for confidence in the safety and reliability of a forensic laboratory’s results – for public confidence in criminal justice, and to promote data sharing and interoperability with other forensic laboratories around the world which are accredited to the same level. FFC can assist with all aspects of reviewing an organisations existing Quality procedures through initial visits to laboratories to assess their current Quality System; assist in establishing the necessary infrastructure and documentation required for ISO accreditation (9001, 17025 and ILACG19); train staff in implementing new Quality systems, processes and management; and support laboratories through the accreditation process.
